It's as if electronic drums were never designed for performing.....

The electric bass guitar replaced the acoustic stand-up bass over night. Electronic drums have been around for over 35 years, yet they are still a pretty rare sight at live gigs. I asked myself why, and invented the EBD.
I set out to fix:

The way it looks.

Want to show up for your gig looking like this?

Or is this more like it?

The way it sounds.

Picture
Why play through a distant P.A.system or a bulky, low powered keyboard amp? Neither of which was designed for eDrums.

Picture
How about a 1300 Watt amp? Speakers that cover all sound frequencies. Enough internal volume for really low bass drum notes that kick you in the chest. Right where you can hear it.

Easier setup and tear-down.

Picture
Run your cables through your rack system, and drop them right into the outer shell of the EBD.  No more trying to get your cables into the right holes in the back of your drum module.

And add things that no other drums can do.

Picture
Jacks can be installed for the entire band to plug into and play through your EBD, along with headset jacks for the band so that you can have silent rehearsals. Record the entire band through an iPod. Run MIDI signals into and out of your drum shell. Port your module out to the house sound system if needed. And of course, you still have the huge variety of drum sets available from modern drum modules, and the ability to play wide open without waking up the neighbors.

Drumagination EBD DIY kit:

Build it from mild to wild......

Right now the Drumagination EBD can only be built by you, and you can choose the cost, weight and quality of components . I supply the shell and parts that may not be available at your nearby hardware store. Complete instructions are listed below, and they were written for those with very basic building skills.
